Arabic Names of Ginii
- The real Genie is called Jinnee.
- The Genie who lived with the people is called “Ammaar”, its plural is “Ammar”.
- The Genie who teases the children is called spirits (Arwah)
- The most wicked and troublesome Genie is called Devil.
- The Genie whom wickedness crosses the limit and his grip become tighter it is called Giant (Afriat)
Genii in the Quran
The description of Genii and angels is present in the glorious Quran at 118 places. How a man with faith can deny the creation whose description has given in the last book of Allah so many times.
Population of Genii
It is narrated that the Genii who tease the men and women are of many kinds. Such Genii has seventy nations and every nation has seventy thousand tribes and every tribe is consisted of seventy thousand individuals. If a needle is thrown from sky then it will not fall at the ground, stay at their heads.
Kinds of Genii
- One kind which flies in the air.
- One is being in the shape of dogs and snakes
- One who stays and travels e.g. ghost
Ibn –e-Abi-ud Dunya narrated from Abu Daud in “Mukaid-ush-shaitan” that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) told,
Almighty Allah has created three types of Genii. One type is of snake, scorpions and insects; second is like wind, third one is answerable and accountable for their deeds.
Zamkhshari says that he has seen such strange things about Genie among the villagers which cannot be explained. He says that Genii have such a kind which is half human being in shape. Its name is “Shaq”. It creates trouble for the lonely passenger even sometime it kills him.
Reality of Genii
It is fact that Genii have the third world along with the worlds of angels and human beings. They are like not germs rather they are a sensible and genius creation. They are also accountable according to in religious law and are bound by the rules and regulations of Islamic Shareah like Muslim Human Beings and will be accountable on the day of judgement. Similarly, they will be rewarded Paradise or Hell for successful and failures ones.
Genii are Creatures
To admit the presence of Genii, another argument is that all Prophets (A.S) have narrated the events repeated in these connections which are famous and known in public. It is also known publicly that Genii are alive and intelligent creation of Allah. They perform each job by their own will. Moreover they are accountable for their deeds. They did not have such characteristics or wish which depend upon the human being as some atheist thought.
When the matter of presence of Genii is proved by the Holy Prophets (AS) with such repetition so that every individual knows publicly then its negation does not suite the eminence of such a group which refers itself towards the Apostles. Imam Ibn-e-Tamiah said,
"All groups in Muslims admit the presence of Genii, similarly all nonbeliever and common learned men of other religions, same in the polytheists of Arabia the descendants of Ham, in residents of Kinaan and Grace descendants of Yafith, in short all sects and groups admit the presence of Genii. "
قُلۡ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسۡتَمَعَ نَفَرٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا سَمِعۡنَا قُرۡءَانًا عَجَبٗا
Say, [O Muhammad], “It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, ‘Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur’an.
وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمۡ رَهَقٗا
And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden.
